UnpuzzleX is a minimalist logic puzzle game from Kek Games where you start with a completed group of interlocking pieces and remove them one by one until the board is completely empty. A piece can only move away when nothing else blocks its path.

The idea sounds almost too simple, but the later puzzles made me slow down. Pulling the first movable piece is not always the best choice. Sometimes removing one part changes which directions become available for several others, so looking at the whole structure first can save unnecessary moves.

How UnpuzzleX Works

Unlike a normal jigsaw puzzle, you do not build an image.

You take one apart.

Each level starts with several connected pieces.

Your task is to:

• Find a piece with an open path
• Pull that piece away

Start By Looking For Open Sides

Before moving anything, look around the outer edge of the puzzle.

Pieces near the outside are often easier to test because one or more directions may already be clear.

Ask:

Can this piece move left?

Can it move right?

Can it move upward or downward?

If another block sits directly in that path, leave it for later.

A Piece Needs A Clear Exit

This is the central rule of UnpuzzleX.

You cannot simply drag any piece wherever you want.

The direction you choose must be clear.

Removal Order Matters

Suppose Piece A is blocking Piece B.

Piece B cannot leave yet.

remove outer piece → open new direction → remove second piece → expose center

Do Not Assume The First Movable Piece Is Best

A piece may be removable without being the most useful first move.

Sometimes another available piece opens more of the structure.

I found it useful to compare two or three possible moves before choosing one.

That makes later stages feel more logical and less like trial and error.

Work From The Outside Toward The Center

Many puzzles are easier if you first inspect the outer pieces.

Center pieces often have fewer escape directions because they are surrounded.

Removing outside pieces gradually creates more space.

This is not a rule for every level, but it is a useful starting method.

Check All Four Directions

A piece that looks trapped horizontally may still move vertically.

This is an easy detail to miss.

Before giving up on a piece, test its possible directions mentally:

• Left
• Right
• Up
• Down

Sometimes the solution becomes obvious once you stop looking at only one axis.

Learn Classic Before Fast Mode

Classic Mode makes the relationship between direction and blockage clearer.

You physically move the pieces.

That helps teach why one part cannot leave while another is in its way.

Once that rule feels natural, Fast Mode is easier to follow.

Do Not Mix It Up With Unpuzzlex Blocks

There is now another mobile game called Unpuzzlex Blocks from a different developer.

Google Play currently credits that newer title to JinTalented and Ridgewood Developments Limited, not Kek Games.

That is a separate game.

For Mopoga, the correct developer for UnpuzzleX is Kek Games.

Minimal Graphics Help You Read The Puzzle

UnpuzzleX uses a very clean visual design.

That works well because the important information is structural.

You need to see:

• Which pieces touch
• Which directions are blocked
• Which sides are open
• What changed after a removal

Heavy visual detail would make that harder.

There is no character trying to reach an exit.

The final objective is simply to remove everything.

When the last piece disappears, the puzzle is solved.

A useful way to approach harder levels is to think of each piece as depending on another.

Piece C cannot move until Piece B leaves.

Look For The Piece Blocking Several Others

Some pieces are more important than they first appear.

One block may prevent two or three neighboring pieces from moving.

If a piece clearly cannot move in the chosen direction, stop.

A previously trapped part may now have an open route.

Instead of automatically continuing with your old plan, look again.

That keeps you from missing newly available moves.

Kongregate tags the game with both Relaxing and Minimalism, while Armor Games similarly categorizes it as a minimalist puzzle title.

The clean presentation supports that idea.

There is little visual clutter and the main focus stays on logical removal.

There Is No Need To Rush Classic Mode

Classic Mode works best when you take time to understand the structure.

If a puzzle looks confusing, inspect it before moving anything.

There is no benefit in turning a logic problem into random clicking.
